iNHDEX Data Dictionary
The purpose of this article is to provide you with an overview of what the Data Dictionary is, as well as guide you on how to use the Data Dictionary to resolve errors that may occur during the submission process.

The Data Dictionary is a resource for the Districts to use to provide additional information on what each submission is, why we collect the data, and the data requirements for each submission.
To locate the Data Dictionary, please follow the steps below.
Click on the submission to open the Report Definitions page
Scroll down until you locate the Data Details section
Under Data Details, you will find the Data Dictionary. This is a searchable resource that you can use to reference all codes used in that specific submission.
Example You are looking for the correct enrollment code for a student and you want to verify with this resource before using that code.
Click on the “view more “ link in the Enrollment Code Constants column
From there, a smaller table will pop up listing all of the applicable codes for that specific submission and that element. Here you can review both the constants and the Error Types that are associated with this particular element.

To use this to resolve an error, Identify which Error Message corresponds to your submission errors. In the Resolution Column, follow the recommendation provided to resolve the error message.
This is not specific to the Enrollment Submission Data Dictionary!
Each of the submissions will have a Data Dictionary that will have a resolutions tab with a recommendation on how to resolve that specific error message for that specific submission.
