i4see 2.0 ESOL Roster Overview

ESOL:   i4see 2.0 ESOL Roster Overview

The i4see 2.0 system has been enhanced to enable schools to track ESOL students.  Schools should use this functionality to keep an active roster of all the ESOL students in their school(s).

A more robust help article that will be consistently updated can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DKzGD_3X_GnK_cg3z2taX8F5DpDY1AcfYVg2KpS50vs/edit?usp=sharing

1. Manage your ESOL Rosters
Within the i4see 2.0 dashboard, selecting “ESOL” will take you to the ESOL Roster. If you are having issues accessing i4see 2.0, please view the help article: i4see: ESOL User Roles - i4see Help Desk - Confluence

2. Select a School and View the Roster (or choose all schools).
You can view a roster to see all ESOL students for the current year or the previous year who are assigned to your school(s).  Select a specific school or click “All Schools”. Users can be given access to all district data or one school. The roster has several view options: the default view is students who are “Eligible For Services”, but users can also select “Monitoring Students”, or those “Missing from ESOL Roster”, or “Missing from School Enrollment”.

  • Students “Missing from ESOL Roster” are students who received services more than one year ago but not more than five years ago. These students most likely moved out of state, went to a private school, or were home schooled and then returned back to a public district in New Hampshire.

  • Students “Missing from School Enrollment” are those ESOL Coordinators have manually added to the ESOL roster but the district Local Security Administrator (LSA) has not yet submitted a Student Roster submission in iNHDEX that included their enrollment. The LSA contact list is here to help remedy this.

*Students new to the district but who have received services in the most recent year will be automatically added to your ESOL roster as “Eligible for Services”.

Troubleshooting Issues Regarding Adding a Student:

  • If the student is already on your roster in a missing category, the system will not let you add them using the “Add Student” icon.

  • If you added a student but cannot find them in “Eligible For Services” they are likely in “Missing from School Enrollment” and your district Local Security Administrator (LSA)must submit a “Student Roster” report on iNHDEX that includes this student. Find the LSA contact here.

3. Search for a Student For schools with a large number of ESOL students you can ‘search’ for a SASID or name in your ESOL roster on i4see 2.0.  Note, you may want to look for students using the “All” category.

Or, to search for a student in the state (not just enrolled in the district) to view whether they have ever received services use the “Student Search” option and enter either their SASID or student name and a birthdate.

Please note: You cannot change a status to Monitoring.  Students move to Monitoring automatically, when they achieve proficiency as found in the WIDA ACCESS results. If a student moved in from a WIDA state you can add them to the roster as eligible for services and then request their reclassification, directions below.

You CAN NO LONGER REMOVE a student from your roster. Students who exit the district will automatically be removed as soon as the district has submitted a “Student Roster” report on iNHDEX that indicates the student has left the district.

  1. Reclassify a Student
If a student moves into the district and should be a student on monitoring (which is only allowable from a WIDA state with verified scores provided by the district), or if the student meets one of the criteria for Non-Standard Reclassification as listed here: request-reclassification-el-student_2025.pdf. A request for reclassification can be requested using the following process:
