QUICK FIX: How do I use Microsoft Excel to properly edit .csv files?
Back to the QUICK FIXES Home Page
IMPORTANT
If you use Microsoft Excel to edit any .csv files, you MUST do the following:
Ensure that all days and months with single digits include LEADING ZEROS wherever necessary to ensure the required month/day/year (“mm/dd/yyyy”) format.
EXAMPLE:
“03/01/2025” = CORRECT
“3/1/2025” - INCORRECT
Ensure that your file is saved as a .csv file with the .csv extension (and not in the default Excel format with the .xls or.xlxs extension).
