Student Absence | Where do I report attendance for my out of district students, or Adult Ed Students who exclusively attend Adult Ed? | Attendance is no longer reported to the state for out of district students (placed in a nonpublic school, or in a public school outside of NH) or Adult Ed students, provided the latter exclusively attend Adult Ed and are not also enrolled in high school. Only Active enrolled students (Enrollment status = 21, 22, 23) are included in the Student Absence submission. |
Student Absence | Will attendance/absence reported in half days and/or hours be removed after the 24/25 BOY? | Yes. Attendance/absence in half days or hours will not be required after the 24/25 BOY enrollment submission. Starting with the MOY reporting window, attendance will be collected via the Student Absence submission, and will be reported as individual dates on which students were absent. Districts will be able to enter what percentage of the day a student was absent as well as if it's excused or unexcused. Attendance will not be needed because it will be auto-calculated for you based on your calendar. |
Student Absence | Does the state have a definition for what counts as attendance and absence? | No, that is a district level policy decision. Each district may have a different definition of what they consider an absence. Use whatever the district's policy is to report the absence as either excused or unexcused. |
