W14 | Student transferred outside the state (including foreigh exchange students returning to home countries). | 4 | The student left the state, including foreign exchange students returning to home countries. |
W5 | A student transferred to an approved home schooled program. | 5 | The student has exited the NH public school system, still resides in NH and is now enrolled in an approved home school program (Can be used to withdraw students from preschool programs). |
W30 | A post-graduate student who completed or exited their post-graduate program of studies. | 6 | The student has completed or exited their post-graduate program of studies (Only Post Graduate students). |
New | 7 | The student has exited their dual enrollment/part time program. | |
W8 | A student who was expelled. | 8 | The student was expelled. |
W9 | A student who left school for a reason not covered under withdrawal codes W1-W8, but who is not considered a drop out. If the student (under age 16) can not be located, after the school district has done their due diligence to locate the child, then the child should be withdrawn as a W9. This is not a dropout code and should not be used for students over the age of 16. | 9 | The student is truant or missing. The school district has done their due diligence to locate the child. This code can only be used if the student is under the legal dropout age. |
W10 | The student is deceased. | 10 | The student is deceased. |
W11 | A student graduated midyear or completed his/her high school education. | 11 | The student completed his/her high school education. (Do not use for dropouts). |
W20 - W29 | Students who dropped out of school. Districts may wish to assign specific reasons to these codes for internal use. Students intending to pursue GEDs or programs similar to Job Corps would be appropriately listed in one of these categories. For state reporting purposes, all W-20’s will be collapsed into one category; no specific dropout reasons need to be reported under the W20’s. | 12 | The student has dropped out (must be of legal age to dropout). |
