1st to 8th Grade Withdrawal Anomalies
What Does it Mean
If a student is exited from a district and not re-entered by the other district with a proper exit and entry code, this anomaly can occur.
How to Resolve Them
The Entry and re-entry code should match. For example, if a student has an W2 exit code, but no R2 re-entry record, we are unable to locate where the student went. A student with a W2 exit in one record must have a subsequent R2 re-entry in a second record.
Another way the withdrawal anomaly is created if a district submits a SASID in their BOY as enrollment status 7 with exit code R4 but include them in the EOY as enrollment status 1. It is recommended to remove the SASIS/student from their EOY.
