1st to 8th Grade Withdrawal Anomalies

1st to 8th Grade Withdrawal Anomalies

1st to 8th Grade Withdrawal Anomalies

What Does it Mean

If a student is exited from a district with a withdrawal code W4, W1 and W12 and not re-entered by the other district with associated re-entry code, this anomaly can occur.

How to Resolve Them

The Entry and re-entry code should match. For example, if a student has an W4 exit code, but no R4 re-entry record, we are unable to locate where the student went. A student with a W4 exit in one record must have a subsequent R4 re-entry in a second record.

Another way the withdrawal anomaly is created if a district submits a SASID in their BOY as enrollment status 7 with exit code R4 but include them in the EOY as enrollment status 1. It is recommended to remove the SASIS/student from their EOY.

Please edit and update your EOY Enrollment records to eliminate anomalies. If corrections need to be made in another district’s data, please contact that district's Local Security Administrator, or the user who uploaded that district's EOY Enrollment submission. A list of Local Security Administrators is available on the DOE website: NH Public Schools | NH Department of Education .

Sometimes a record will show up on an anomaly report that is not in error.  These are considered Explained Anomalies, and do not need to be resolved.  If you are unsure and if your anomaly reports include an Explained Anomaly, please contact the Department for assistance.  Only the Department can determine if an anomaly is an Explained Anomaly that does not require further resolution.
