Transcript, College

  • If you are submitting a transcript to document conferral of a degree, do not request an official copy of your transcript from your institution until the registrar’s office at your institution confers the degree on your transcript. This may be weeks after you graduate. Please contact your institution’s registrar’s office to confirm appropriate timing of request.

  • Must be uploaded separately for each institution, however each institution’s complete transcript should be uploaded as one document (not separate documents for each page of the transcript).

  • You should indicate the state and institution at time of upload (this feature is currently unavailable). If the institution does not appear on the dropdown list please leave that box blank.

  • We require transcripts with registrar’s signature visible. Please do not upload a transcript with white registrar’s signature as a black & white document or upload screenshots of online grade reports.

  • Applicants should also enter state, institution, degree, major(s), and degree conferral date in the Degrees section of their EIS profile. Enter 15 for day
of month if no day is indicated on your transcript (e.g. 05/15/2015 for May 2015)

Verification of ‘Official’ college transcripts

  • The determination that the transcript is ‘official’ requires that the Registrar’s signature must be visible. The Bureau encourages the applicant to confirm visibility of this signature prior to submission of the transcript as well as after upload by viewing the image in EIS/Educator/View Your Credentials Here/Documents. If the registrar’s signature is not visible, the transcript will be considered unofficial.

  • An ‘electronic transcript’ is a transcript that is sent electronically to the Bureau of Credentialing or another designated recipient’s email address, usually from a transcript clearinghouse such as Credentials eSCRIP-SAFE or Parchment . Such a transcript may not necessarily include a registrar’s signature but is considered ‘official’ by the institution. The New Hampshire Department of Education, Bureau of Credentialing does not consider an electronic transcript that lacks a Registrar’s signature to be official unless the Bureau has received the transcript directly from the clearinghouse at credentialing.docs@doe.nh.gov

  • If you must mail a paper official transcript in a sealed envelope, please use the address here: Contact Us
