HOME SCHOOL ACADEMIC: Data dictionary page link

Home Education is an alternative to attendance at a public or private school and is an individualized form of instruction in accordance with Chapter 279:2, laws of 1990.

The Home School Academic submission should include homeschooled students participating in academic classes in the public school in grades 7-12.

  • A student's record in the Home School Academic should not overlap with that same student's enrollment record in the Enrollment submission.

  • Students participating in an EFA program are NOT considered homeschooled as of the start date for their EFA program.

  • If there are no Homeschool students taking classes at your district, you will still need to submit and certify 0 records.

  • Students in the Home School Academic must not be actively enrolled in the Enrollment submission for the same period.

  • NOTE: Submission should be a single file including all schools in the district. Full load expected.
